AWS basic support only gives you access to AWS support staff. This doesn't give you access to experts that you can get feedback from, it's very much a break / fix approach with a ticketing system. 

You may find yourself struggling to handle difficult issues on your own if you do not have access to AWS Experts. Or trying to make decisions about new business requirements without having the full picture.

24/7 support is not included

AWS basic support only provides you with support during business hours. This means you are only covered from 9 am to 5 pm or equivalent working day in your region.
